PEORIA — U.S. Cellular is making use of the space that Starbucks vacated at Westlake Shopping Center.

The new store at 4221 Sterling Ave. will open in May, giving the company four corporate retail stores in the Peoria market, said Randall Van Middlesworth, Peoria-area sales manager for Chicago based U.S. Cellular.

We look to hire 11 people for this location greeters, service technicians and leadership positions. There are several part-time positions open that will allow people to work 20 to 30 hours a week with a full benefit package,” he said.

A complete line of products will be available at the store, he said. Peoria remains a strong market for U.S. Cellular, said Van Middlesworth.

We really enjoy the Peoria market. It’s been one of our longest- standing cities we’ve done business in,” he said.
